Despite Mother Nature bringing monsoon like weather to the Southcoast, the first round of Sow and Grow seedling kits were successfully delivered today!
Eight kits went out to residents in Fall River and New Bedford, each containing bio degradable soil pots, bags of gardening soil, and up to four different types of seeds! So far, tomatoes and peppers are the most popular, but we’ve also given out onions, spinach, eggplant and much more!
The kits were dropped off through no contact method by leaving them at the doorstep of residents homes and confirming the dropoff through text. Eric, our program manager was wearing full PPE (Personal protective equipment) of a facemask and gloves to mitigate any possible risk.
